The City Parks Alliance Leadership Council was created in 2008 as a group of respected and influential leaders knowledgeable about city parks and their role in sustaining the vitality of our cities. Leadership Council members use their leadership, expertise, wisdom and networks to help build the effectiveness and reputation of City Parks Alliance.
The principal goals of the Leadership Council are to:
• Offer guidance and ways to connect the organization with leaders who can assist in advancing the organization’s mission
• Provide valuable insight to the board regarding trends and innovative practices
• Promote CPA’s goals for greater investment in our nation’s city parks
• Help with engagement of existing and new supporters/members
• Provide counsel to the board on strategic and policy-related matters
• Help increase CPA’s capacity with resources to accomplish its objectives
